Biomarkers of Immunosuppression

Anti-KLH, anti sheep red blood cell (SRBC) and anti tetanus toxoid IgM and IgG are used as biomarkers to evaluate the potential immunosupressive (or immunoregulatory) effects of therapeutic agents. We manufacture ELISA kits for quantitative measurement of anti KLH IgG and IgM in mice, rats and monkeys. We have recently launched rat anti-SRBC IgM and IgG ELISA kits as well as rat anti-tetanus toxoid IgM and IgG ELISA's. Hepatotoxicity Biomarkers

Biomarkers of hepatotoxicity and immunosuppression are of increasing importance in the development of new therapeutics for treatment and prevention of a broad range of diseases. Certain acute phase proteins (haptoglobin and hemopexin) have been identified as biomarkers of liver damage and it is possible that other acute phase proteins, almost all of which are expressed by hepatocytes, may prove useful as markers of liver damage also. Vitamin D-binding protein (Gc globulin) has recently been identified as an early biomarker of liver toxicity and we have recently developed an ELISA kit for its measurement (see below).
