ELISA Kits for measurement of Guinea Pig Cardiac Troponin-I and Myoglobin

Purified Rat Alpha-2-Macroglobulin
Alpha-2-Macroglobulin is an excellent acute phase biomarker for numerous disease models in rats. It's levels can increase 100-fold or more during inflammation, infection or other pathologic conditions. As a complement to our rat alpha-2-macroglobulin ELISA kit we now manufacture the purified protein (catalog number 8511). Please refer to the Acute Phase Proteins page for pricing.

Purified Guinea Pig Cardiac Biomarkers
We now manufacture purified guinea pig cardiac troponin-I (catalog number 7710), myoglobin (catalog number 7921) and fatty acid binding protein (catalog number 7710). These proteins have proved to be excellent biomarkers of cardiac damage in other species and we anticipate that the same is true for guinea pigs. ELISA kits for detection of guinea pig troponin-I and myoglobin are currently in development, we expect that they will be available by late September or early October 2009. ELISA Kit for measurement of Monkey Serum Amyloid-A (SAA)
We have recently completed development of an ELISA for measurement of monkey SAA (catalog number 3400-2). SAA is an excellent serum biomarker for inflammation, infection and tissue injury in most mammalian species. In monkeys serum SAA levels increase as much as 70-fold during the acute phase response. Our SAA assay is quick and simple. Serum samples are heated at 60 degrees Celsius for one hour, diluted and then co-incubated for one hour with anti-SAA HRP conjugate in anti-SAA coated microtiterwells. After washing the microtiter wells, TMB substrate is added and incubated for 20 minutes. The reaction is stopped by addition of stop solution and absorbance is read at 450 nm. SAA concentrations in the samples are determined by reference to a standard curve. Please refer to the acute phase biomarker ELISA kits page for pricing.
