Acute Phase Biomarkers
APP ELISA Kits | APP RID Kits | Acute Phase Proteins
| APP Antibodies
Proteins belonging to the acute-phase protein (APP) family include C-reactive protein (CRP), haptoglobin, alpha-1-acid glycoprotein, hemopexin, macroglobulin, thiostatin and others. Acute phase protein levels change in serum
in response to tissue injury, inflammation and infection. Acute phase proteins are identified as either positive or negative acute phase reactants depending on whether their levels increase or decrease during the acute phase response. Although changed levels of APP's are not necessarily
disease specific, they are proving to be increasingly useful biomarkers
of inflammation and disease. We manufacture a range of ELISA kits for detection of APP's in different
species (human, mouse, rat, rabbit, dog, pig and monkey) and we have recently begun to develop a related range of radial imunodiffusion (RID) kits. Purified acute phase proteins and APP antibodies are also available.
